How to Play the Life Game?

When you buy a new video game, before starting playing the game, you have to read a little about the game instructions and guidelines to know your mission, to know how to win and how to lose, but most people don’t do that. They buy the game, sit down and try the game immediately, so they don't make much progress because they have to react and then try things more than once to figure out what their mission is, how everything works. This is similar to how in our lives many of us don’t know our roles and prefer to react with things rather than cause things to happen, we don’t have any ideas or any plans about what we are doing.

One day, I had some debate with a friend (MO) about this topic. His views are that, “Life is to be enjoyed moment by moment, everyday is a new adventure, every morning is supposed to surprise you and challenge you, surprise is the best part of life”
I totally agree with him, but surprise is only one part of life, what about the other parts?! Not all things in your life are a surprise, and usually only a few things are really a surprise, as your life is carefully controlled and designed by you. The choices, after all, are yours. You choose happiness. You choose sadness. You choose success. You choose failure. You choose courage. You choose fear. Just remember that every moment, every situation, provides a new choice.

If you asked anyone in this world, “Do you like to be controlled by someone else? Do you you like someone else instructing you on what to do? Do you like to be free and do things your own way?
Absolutely everyone's answer would be, “I am free, I set my own instructions, but indeed, he who has been controlled by his own life, finds that life plays him, instead of him playing life.

To play the life game you need to be proactive, you need to cause things to happen rather than wait to respond after things happen, proactive people take responsibility of their own lives as they take their own actions, they don’t blame others, they don’t blame circumstances. Reactive people, on the other hand, have a lot of problems as they don’t solve them before they arise, they blame the environment around them, they are affected by the weather, if the weather around them is good, they feel good.

To be a proactive person and have control of your own life, the first step before applying the following four steps is making a mental shift in what you believe, you must first believe that being proactive will work.

1-Gather information you need to do a task and understand how things work.

2- Plan, create a plan to perform the task .

3- Predict, anticipate problems and events before they arise.

4- Perform, take responsibility of your actions and never blame things around you.

If you stick to all of these 4 steps in your life, most of the results will be as you expect them to be, I know sometimes things will not work out as you planned as we don’t have control of all things, but we have control of most things.
